Getting the wind up in Ely as gear gets stolen ...
You would think that some of our local villains would stop and think before stealing but this latest caper really takes the biscuit. The home of kite surfing - ELY - is today short of a significant quantity of kite surfing gear as a shed was broken into between January 20 and 23 Cambridgeshire Police are appealing for information and help in recovering the goods:
The stolen equipment includes:
- Three kite surfing boards
- Cabrinha 11m kite surfing foil/kite
- Six wetsuits
- Two Mystic seat harnesses
- Specialist harness shorts
- Gul and Mystic wetsuit gloves
- Atan and Gul wetsuit shoes
- Mystic holdalls
- Two buoyancy aids
PC Mark Beaven said: "Kitesurfing is quite a minority activity so I would appeal to anyone involved in the sport who has been offered these items for sale to call police on 101."
