Police are now of the opinion that the two males are linked to the weekend murder of Kevin Lee, 48, of Fletton, Peterborough, who was stabbed to death, his being body dumped in a ditch at Newborough.
The bodies of the two males, now inside a police cordon, were found some 12 metres from the B1040 near a dyke, down a farm track. Sources suggest that no attempt had been made to cover or bury them.
Cambridgeshire Police confirmed that the couple sought in connection with the death of Mr Lee had been arrested near Newcastle. One of those arrested was Gary Stretch, 47, of Badgeney Road, March., who has been remanded in custody.
