|Igor Simonov (Police, PCSO, Peterborough - Hampton)|
As you may be aware in the Hampton/Stanground/Woodston and Orton area one of the recent Police Panel priorities that were set was nuisance off road motorbikes.
I’d like to give you a recent update.
On Sunday 25th May on London Road near to Hampton brick pits, a traffic unit pursued an off road motorcycle black and red, 125cc motor-cross.
The rider jumped of the bike and ran off so was not apprehended but the bike was left behind and seized by police.
The police have powers to seize and, in appropriate cases, destroy vehicles that are being driven or even pushed, un-insured on a public highway.
Please make sure to report any incidents involving off road motorbikes on 101.
