On the eve of European and Local Government Elections Mrs Stewart Jackson MP (CON Peterborough Central) aka the Peterborough MP's wife Sarah O'Grady writing in The Daily Express, has pushed a huge hatpin through her backbench husbands Tory property bubble, reporting " that borrowers "face a mortgage crackdown with tough new rules to control soaring house prices." Mark Carney said that the housing market is full of "deep, deep" problems...
Mrs Stewart Jackson writes: Lending could be capped to stop home buyers taking on too much mortgage debt. And the flagship Help To Buy house purchase scheme risks being torn up over fears that buyers are over-stretched. The warnings come as latest figures show average house prices are at a record high of £272,000, with sellers adding £10,000 to the value of homes in one month alone. For the full article from Mrs Stewart Jackson click the links..
