The Marham Bluebirds Military Wives Choir and the City of Peterborough Concert Band are in concert on Friday 27th June.
On UK Armed Forces Day itself, on Saturday June 28th, military bands, a tea party plus the usual tatty stalls in Cathedral Square and Bridge Street will be open.
Councillor Elsey breaks way from texting to comment: “Its important to show as a nation, our support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community, from currently serving troops to service families, and from veterans to cadets.
On UK Armed Forces Day, Saturday June 28th, Cathedral Square and Bridge Street events start from 10am. To include 'community' stalls, a tea party, dances, music, military bands plus a biker and scooter procession. Members of the Armed Forces past and present will attend then between 4pm and 4.30pm an iconic Spitfire is scheduled to fly over the city centre.
