It seems our revered Rubbish Correspondent, is like the rest of us fighting an uphill struggle to keep this City clear of not just rubbish but wholesale flytipping. We don't publish all Vinces emails, as the situation around his ward is so bad that we could fill a whole new website. We find that reporting it to https://www.fixmystreet.com/ works very well, as they relentlessly follow it up and fire off emails and alerts to all concerned.
Reports then go on a huge database for all to see. So the Amey parent company and all their clients can immediatly see how well their own contracts are working. It must be effective as the incidents the PBROTRIB reports to www.fixmystreet.com curiously get claimed in some cases by our serially useless local Councillor 'Traveller' Turnip follwing his monthly ward waddle, poking under bushes and frightening old ladies if their garden shrubs are overhanging the footway. He then takes a few snaps and posts them, we are told, on Facebook

The people that are copied in the emails that I send are exactly the same people that Anne Nicole copied when she emailed to me ---
No more and no less .....
I see that you have copied exactly the same people in your email to me.
In none of my correspondence have I ever had the intention of 'berating' anyone, because I do not know who is responsible for this on-going, appalling waste of public funds.
It is blatantly apparent that those who claim to be 'managing' this situation are completely incompetent, or, as a plausible alternative, they are making money out of the Council for their own pockets !
Despite all of your best efforts over the years that you have been pursuing this issue, I am unable to detect any worthwhile improvement in the situation.
Today, during a short outing to the Householders Waste facility with some 'green' waste, I notice that :-
1/ -- Mayors Walk pavement, from the the fire-station to over the railway bridge, has litter strewn all the way along it.
2/ -- There are over-flowing litter-bins in Isham Road, Grange Road and Newark Avenue, to name just a few locations that I happened to notice in passing.
3/ -- Their is a large heap of rubbish on the grass verge of Welland Road (near to its crossing of the Parkway), dwarfing the couple of dust-bins that it lies next to.
4/ -- Park Road pavement, in central Peterborough, is partially obstructed by an over-flowing waste-bin and a heap of rubbish (see photo below).
Imagine what a visitor to our 'Environmental Capital' would think when seeing this sort of mess !
Since, you, as a well-respected city councillor, have apparently been able to make scant progress, I see little hope that my sending anything to 'Amey's dedicated email address' would bring any result whatsoever.
(I suspect that it is as big a 'spoof' as the Council's ' public consultations', i.e. a waste of everyone's time !)
So, if you would be once again so kind as to see what you can achieve with the four points that I have listed above, I will 'take time to consider my options', as they say nowadays.

Thanks for copying me into these messages.
Can I make some suggestions which are intended to be helpful?
It's probably better to use Amey's dedicated email address to report these issues - I'll forward it to you.
I don't personally think it is necessary to copy-in so many people when just reporting fly tipping, overfull bins etc. but youu should copy-in the councillors of the wards concerned eg Central and West
Many of the problems we raise are a result of the contract between Amey and PCC and not the daily operational activities of Amey. For that reason it is not really helpful to appear to berate hardworking and efficient people like Anne Nicole!
As you know I have recently asked for information regarding monitoring of cleansing of streets etc. Let's wait till I get a reply and take it from there.
Call in at my surgery on Saturday if you wish and we can talk this through.
