The PBROTRIB has just had a look at the newly published PCC budget consultation report.
Clearly congratulations are in order for Deputy Mayor Cllr Turnip aka Cllr Christopher John Harper (CON Stanground East) who picks up a new award:
The PCC Service Valued Least Overall:
Support for the mayoral role and responsibilities.
Right at the bottom of the Poll! OUCH!
As part of the budget conversation document, Cabinet also sought people’s views to help identify how to close the remaining gap and asked which services people value most from a suggested list of 16 services.
The position for all 16 services is included in appendix 11, but in summary:
The services valued most overall were:
o Meals on wheels service for elderly and vulnerable residents who cannot cook for themselves
o Combating flytipping, graffiti and anti-social behaviour
o Maintenance of parks and open spaces
o Street cleansing
The service valued least overall were:
o Outreach services in the community to support young people o Support to enable vulnerable people to access employment
o Healthy living support services such as healthy eating and exercise programmes, stop smoking support, sexual health services
o City centre events programme
