PARK FARM GREENWHEEL VANDALS NOW BREAKING WINDOWS, 'EGGING' HOUSES OVERLOOKING THE RIVER AND LATE NIGHT SCRAMBLE BIKE RUNS..

A distressed local resident is currently leafleting Park Farm

VANDALISM

THERE IS A GROUP OF PEOPLE WALKING ALONG THE FOOTPATH AFTER DARK AND THROWING MISSILES AT THE WINDOWS OF OUR HOUSES. THEY THEN RUN OFF AFTER THROWING THE OBJECTS. IF YOU HAVE HAD SUCH AN EXPERIENCE PLEASE CONTACT THE POLICE IMMEDIATELY AND REPORT THE INCIDENT. PROPERY MAINTENANCE CAN BE A VERY EXPENSIVE OUTLAY, BE ON THE ALERT!

The police incident number relating to the above
is CC 07032016-0495.

Sadly all too clear signs the new cut price Council led 'office hours' neighbourhood police patrol rotas are still not working, few practical resources, with visible patrols, 'boots on the ground' are seemingly being allocated, to what was the once well patrolled Peterborough South 'manor'  (Council patrols (SIB Doormen for hire)  are currently concentrated around the Stewart Jackson MP and Cllr John Peach (Mayor) neighbourhood, and [ Drug] Central Park, according to the occasional notes distributed by the Safer Peterborough Partnership).

We rest our case:

Community Enforcement Team conducting patrols in Central Park this afternoon. All quiet so far. #1055

The vandalism around the Greenwheel facing properties, is taking place at night (nearly every night), and at weekends:   Saturday afternoons particularly if Posh are playing at home, and soaking up all available police reserves - then we additionally get scramble bikes and minimotos. The same goes for Sunday, we will be asking, the powers that be to open up their books on the physical patrols in our neighbourhood as clearly the local councillor, who has been made aware, isn't too bothered.

For the record the PBROTRIB has highlighted this type of ASB before - admittedly prior to the current budget cutting measures were introduced.

In addition to 'missiles' being thrown, BB guns and airguns are also being fired at windows and front doors.

If your property is a Mclean built house - ie the later year 2000  Heritage Park development. Don't rely on your household insurance company to locate a replacement panel, in a recent case one national glazier contracted to an insurance company claimed they'd have to make it up as a special (err £450!!!) plus fitting.

For all the houses in Heritage Park contact I G DOORS Limited, For technical enquiries or quotation information call them on 01633 486860 or email technical@igdoors.co.uk . The front door double glazed panel size is 580 x 915 Item 330175 (several designs 'Touch of Silk' range) and the cost delivered to your door is circa. £98. Far less than the insurance excess, you'll be paying!

One local Park Farm resident has been reduced to mass leafleting his immediate neighbourhood, in an attempt to counter a rising tide of mindless vandalism being heaped on Park farm and the river fronting properties (overlooking the Green Wheel Cycle Path, and has asked us to pass on this simple message (Possibly print and hand out copies?).  The resident  concerned not wishing to be identified, said he had reported it to the outgoing councillor (Stanground East, as a ward vanishes in May) and also to Police The police incident number is CC 07032016-0495.(Important to obtain an Crime Incident Number!)

Editorial policy: WE DON'T CENSOR NEWS, we will however come down hard on lawbreakers, all forms of ASB - Anti Social Behaviour, and anyone or group who seek to disturb or disrupt our neighbourhoods and communities, or in anyway abuse, take unfair advantage or financially disadvantage our citizens. We support the Park Farm Neighbourhood Watch and digitally carry the messages from this independent Neighbourhood Watch Scheme.

We are openly but constructively critical of all political parties (actual and sham), pressure groups, overbearing 'jobsworths' and those who seek to waste public funds, abuse public office, ramp up expenses, BUY VOTES and/or engage in any form of directed or robotic voting.

Whilst accepting that many in Public Office perform a valuable service and make a worthwhile contribution, there are others who are frankly rubbish. Although Julian Bray is the editor, there are several Blog administrators / correspondents who actively contribute by remote transmission to this blog.
