Winter on the Green, 16-18th December, 2016

Winter on the Green

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

• Live music, and DJs
• Pop-Up Ice Rink & Outdoor Cinema
• Christmas Markets, Snowboard Simulator
• Supporting Cancer Research, Fulham Good Neighbours, Help for Heroes

It’s the 1st December, so we can now officially start talking about Christmas! Hooray!  So if you are off to London for a bit of shopping, take the Underground to Kensington and Parsons Green and see apart from a £40,000 plastic Christmas tree, just what we are missing in Peterborough. And not a pizza or mince pie in sight!

The team behind ‘Big Screen on the Green’, have launched their inaugural winter event, Winter on the Green in London, from Friday 16th - Sunday 18th December.

Set up on Parsons Green, South West London, Winter on the Green has ensured that every one of your 5 senses is taken care of.
Have a skate on our pop-up ice-rink, or snuggle under a blanket to watch one of our festive films, with a Baileys Hot Chocolate.

You can take a stroll along one of our many market stalls, with some fantastic brands on offer and gourmet food to fill your tums.

The main stage will host some of the very best local talent, with live musicians, and Djs on each night.

Our bar hosts will be Moët & Chandon , Leffe, Red Bull, Jägermeister and Sipsmiths, who will be providing the mulled wine, beers and winter-warmer inspired cocktails from London’s best mixologists.

Winter on the Green is taking place on Parsons Green, South West London, from Friday December 16th until Sunday December 18th December, from 5.30 – 10.30pm.

Winter on The Green will also be raising funds for Cancer Research UK, Fulham Good Neighbours and Help For Heroes.

UPDATES: Post are transmitted from a variety of remote sources, immediately published on servers in the USA, additions, updates and any corrections added later on the blog version only.

Editorial policy: WE DON'T CENSOR NEWS, we will however come down hard on lawbreakers, all forms of ASB - Anti Social Behaviour, and anyone or group who seek to disturb or disrupt our neighbourhoods and communities, or in anyway abuse, take unfair advantage or financially disadvantage our citizens. We support the Park Farm Neighbourhood Watch and digitally carry the messages from this independent Neighbourhood Watch Scheme.

We are openly but constructively critical of all political parties (actual and sham), pressure groups, overbearing 'jobsworths' and those who seek to waste public funds, abuse public office, ramp up expenses, BUY VOTES and/or engage in any form of directed or robotic voting.

Whilst accepting that many in Public Office perform a valuable service and make a worthwhile contribution, there are others who are frankly rubbish. Although Julian Bray is the editor, there are several Blog administrators / correspondents who actively contribute by remote transmission to this blog.

So it could be some days before the copy (content) is seen by the Editor and properly formatted. We consider all representations and correct any facts that are clearly deficient.
