Be under no illusion new residents of Cardea, South Stanground and those about to purchase houses being built right up to the Cardea boundary posts adjoining the by-pass.
These shiny new and desirable properties are soon to be in the front line for blood related smells, meat detritus, dioxins, effluent soil water run off and an enhanced industrial scale DELUGE of chicken carcass transports to and from a proposed ritual slaughterhouse right on your very doorstep.
A plant despatching many hundreds of thousands of healthy live chickens by having their throats cut, heads removed, the warm carcass hung upside down and fully drained of blood.
But first the live (and they must be healthy) chickens arrive in transports by the industrial container load and held in chicken sheds on site. These will certainly clog up the hotch potch of streets in the area and further mash up the snarled up traffic at Kings Dyke.
Its termed a 'poultry farm' in the outline planning application, but the industrial slaughter process is on a vast industrial scale. Nothing at all 'pastoral' about this Poultry Farm.
Your current local Stanground South councillors, are all up for re-election next year, Messrs Harper (Chair of PCC Planning !!), Rush and Bisby - these gentlemen recently voted themselves an astonishingly high pay [err allowances] rise - are supposed to have their collective ears to the ground, on your behalf and also be fully aware of what is happening in neighbouring administrations, this one was first raised some five years ago, but has totally passed them by.
You have less than a couple of days to forcefully register your comments with the planners at Huntingdonshire who actually have planning control of this site. Closing date is Tuesday May 2nd BUT MONDAY IS A BANK HOLIDAY!!!!
HOW DO I COMMENT / OBJECT / COMPLAIN?
